Na prvn\u00ed pohled je tu evokov\u00e1n idylick\u00fd \u010das konce 18. stolet\u00ed, dosud jen m\u00e1lo dot\u010den\u00fd Velkou revoluc\u00ed, \u010das, v n\u011bm\u017e je m\u00edsto pro bizarn\u00ed kompars, dobr\u00e9 city a rokokov\u011b senzu\u00e1ln\u00ed vychutn\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed \u017eivota. Tento sv\u011bt je v\u0161ak, jak se z\u00e1hy ukazuje, velmi k\u0159ehk\u00fd a m\u00e1 sv\u016fj fantastick\u00fd a mysteri\u00f3zn\u00ed rub. Na \u0161irok\u00e9m pl\u00e1tn\u011b plyne nakonec p\u0159ed na\u0161ima o\u010dima anarchick\u00fd proud st\u00e1le p\u0159episovan\u00fdch obraz\u016f, jejich\u017e \u00fab\u011b\u017en\u00edkem je mytick\u00e1 figura Stehl\u00edka: nedefinovateln\u00e9 bytosti, je\u017e je hlasem nejednozna\u010dn\u00fdch \u017eivotn\u00edch energi\u00ed, radost\u00ed i bolest\u00ed, a m\u00e1 nejbl\u00ed\u017ee k t\u011bm, jejich\u017e prost\u00e9 byt\u00ed a intuitivn\u00ed vn\u00edm\u00e1n\u00ed \u017eivota dosud nepohltila racion\u00e1ln\u00ed civiliza\u010dn\u00ed sch\u00e9mata.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anna Maria Ortesov\u00e1 (1914\u20131998) je vedle Elsy Morantov\u00e9 nejv\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed italskou spisovatelkou druh\u00e9 poloviny 20. stolet\u00ed. Debutovala je\u0161t\u011b ve t\u0159ic\u00e1t\u00fdch letech pr\u00f3zami ve stylu \u201emagick\u00e9ho realismu\u201c, pro\u0161la f\u00e1z\u00ed pov\u00e1le\u010dn\u00e9ho neorealismu&nbsp;a pot\u00e9 se orientovala k psychologizuj\u00edc\u00ed autobiografick\u00e9 pr\u00f3ze. P\u0159esto\u017ee zde najdeme motivy dvojnictv\u00ed, magie \u010di zvl\u00e1\u0161tn\u00edch metamorf\u00f3z, sp\u00ed\u0161e ne\u017e o fantazijn\u00ed text hoffmannovsk\u00e9ho typu jde o p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh p\u0159eludn\u00fd, kde nen\u00ed jasn\u00e9, co je pravda, co touha, sen \u010di tu\u0161en\u00ed. Uvoln\u011bn\u00e1 imaginace se hrdin\u016fm vlamuje do prost\u00e9ho a ut\u0159\u00edd\u011bn\u00e9ho \u017eivota a ukazuje jim jeho netu\u0161en\u00e9 str\u00e1nky. Vypr\u00e1v\u011bn\u00ed je zalo\u017eeno na principu postupn\u00e9ho odkr\u00fdv\u00e1n\u00ed vrstev a odhalov\u00e1n\u00ed motivac\u00ed jednotliv\u00fdch postav. To \u010dasto vede k nep\u0159ehlednosti \u010di nejasn\u00e9 hranici mezi l\u017e\u00ed, pomluvou a fakty \u2013 \u017dalost\u00edc\u00ed stehl\u00edk v\u0161ak nen\u00ed postaven na dramatick\u00e9m p\u0159\u00edb\u011bhu, ale na origin\u00e1ln\u00ed poetice. Barvit\u00fd a p\u0159ekypuj\u00edc\u00ed jazyk s rozbujel\u00fdm lexikem jako by sm\u011b\u0159oval k ji\u017eansk\u00e9 pestrosti, nakonec ale p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 barokn\u011b zat\u011b\u017ek\u00e1 smutkem.
